Jussi Ekonen heads the firm’s transaction practice and specialises in transactions, corporate law and energy and infrastructure sector contractual arrangements.
Jussi advises Finnish and international clients on demanding domestic and cross-border transactions across a wide range of industries. Jussi has particularly deep expertise in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His assignments typically involve large and complex corporate and business acquisitions, private equity investments, financing and incentive arrangements. He advises companies, private equity investors and growth companies, as well as their boards and senior management, throughout the entire lifecycle of a transaction, from structuring and execution through to post-completion arrangements.
Jussi has extensive experience in share and asset deals, add-on acquisitions, leveraged transactions, management buy-outs, as well as carve-out and spin-off projects. His expertise also covers joint ventures and strategic partnerships, energy and infrastructure projects, Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements, and the drafting, negotiation and risk management of long-term and business critical contractual frameworks.
In addition, Jussi advises clients on a wide range of corporate law matters, including corporate governance, board and management liability issues, shareholders’ agreements, and group and capital structure arrangements. In FDI matters, he assists clients with regulatory assessments, dealings with authorities and the implementation of cross-border investments.
