Helena Kalmanlehto specializes in conflict management and commercial dispute resolution.
Kalmanlehto advises clients on all phases of legal conflicts on several fields of law and industries, such as real property, construction and engineering, supply agreements and trade, shareholders’ and share purchase agreements, insolvency situations and protection of creditors’ rights, as well as general contract law, damages and liability issues.
She has been recognized for her deep understanding of conflict avoidance, risk management and effective negotiation strategies in contract drafting and day-to-day claims management. Kalmanlehto has years of experience in representing clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation procedures.
Kalmanlehto has previously worked in other Finnish leading business law firms. She has trained in the District Court and Court of Appeals.
Kalmanlehto is a member of the Finnish Bar Association’s Mediation Committee and Expert Team of Civil Process Law. She is an approved mediator for the Finnish Bar Association.

Kalmanlehto has handled assignments such as the following:
◈ Represented client in disagreement regarding financing agreement. The matter was amicably settled with favorable conditions to our client after long negotiations between the parties.
◈ Kalmanlehto regularly assists clients in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings and other insolvency related questions. She has successfully handled several claims and disputes within this field.
◈ Represented a real estate company in litigation in district court and court of appeals against shareholders in large dispute regarding share purchase agreement and alleged construction defects.
◈ Represented a client in litigation and amicable settlement of several disagreements regarding supply agreement of IT-services, recruitment restriction, liquidated damages and petition for precautionary measures by the opposing party.
◈ Represented a builder in a dispute and settlement concerning a large-scale building project, where the builder faced massive claims of several millions of euros from and presented counterclaims to the main contractor. The matter was amicably settled in the district court phase.
