Maija Ahtiainen appointed as Counsel
Maija Ahtiainen has joined Lieke’s Dispute Resolution practice group as Counsel on 6 November 2023. Maija’s practice covers arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution as well as dispute avoidance and conflict management. Maija has more than a decade of diverse experience in complex and challenging commercial disputes. During her career, she has been involved in disputes relating to construction, real estate, various types of delivery, project and other commercial contracts, acquisitions and shareholders’ agreements.
“Prior to joining Lieke, I have worked in dispute resolution in other leading Finnish business law firms already for quite a long time. During my career, I have acted as counsel in litigation and arbitration in wide range of high-value matters relating to many different industries and various fields of law. In addition, I have trained on the bench and worked as a secretary for several arbitral tribunals, in which contexts I have been able to see how the cases appear on the judge’s side of the table. I look forward to working as part of Lieke’s stellar dispute resolution team and assisting our clients in finding the best possible solutions to the complex and challenging conflicts they may face in a rapidly changing world.”
