Helsinki Cathedral Parish – Appeal to the Market Court regarding public procurement
We successfully assisted Helsinki Cathedral Parish in the Market Court process regarding public procurement.
We acted as a legal advisor to Helsinki Cathedral Parish in the Market Court proceeding regarding public procurement (MAO:518/2023).
Helsinki Cathedral Parish carried out the procurement process in accordance with the procedural provisions of the Procurement Act (1397/2016) exceeding the national threshold. Two appeals were submitted to the Market Court regarding the procurement decision. According to the first appeal, the winner of the competitive tendering should have been excluded from the procurement procedure as its tender did not meet the requirements set out in the call for tenders. According to the second appeal, the comparison of the tenders was implemented incorrectly. In its decision the Market Court held that the Helsinki Cathedral Parish’s proceedings and procurement decision was compliant with the public procurement legislation.
