Helena Kalmanlehto specializes in commercial dispute resolution and conflict management.
Helena advises and represents clients throughout all phases of legal conflicts and disputes across a wide range of industries and areas of law. She has developed particularly strong expertise in matters relating to real estate, construction and engineering, energy, commercial contracts, corporate law, insolvency and creditor protection, as well as general contract law and various damage and liability issues.
Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of dispute resolution, from conflict avoidance and legal risk management in contract drafting and day-to-day claims handling, through to representing clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings, and the enforcement of court judgements and arbitral awards. In her career, Helena has represented clients in numerous complex and high-value disputes.
Helena’s extensive knowledge of alternative dispute resolution enables her to advise clients on comprehensive dispute resolution strategies and to secure favourable outcomes in mediation or negotiation. She is a CEDR (The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) Accredited Mediator and an accredited mediator of the Finnish Bar Association, and accepts mediation appointments in commercial disputes.
Helena serves as a member of the Finnish Bar Association’s Legal Expert Team on Civil Process Law and the Finnish Bar Association’s Mediation Committee.
Helena is endorsed in The Legal 500, an international directory evaluating leading law firms and lawyers, in which she is “noted for her experience representing clients in commercial and corporate litigation, construction claims and insolvency proceedings”.
