We carried out a comprehensive internal employment law compliance review for a client, examining the client’s operations for conformity with applicable requirements and legislation. The review covered key employment law documentation, including HR policies and staff handbooks.

The review addressed, in particular, matters relating to occupational health and safety, including the handling of workplace accidents and the management of sickness absences. We also assessed the currency of the client’s substance abuse programme and referral-to-treatment model, as well as equality and non-discrimination plans.

The review also covered practices under the Co-operation Act. It also covered the documentation required under the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out with respect to the use of subcontractors. Based on the employment law compliance review, we provided the client with a concrete overall assessment of the situation and our recommendations.
