Sofia Evans appointed as Senior Associate
Sofia Evans has been appointed as Senior Associate in Lieke’s Competition law practice, effective as of 7 January 2026. Sofia has extensive experience in competition law matters. Previously, Sofia has worked at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority, the UK Financial Conduct Authority, and in law firms.
“Competition law has been at the core of my work for over a decade. I began my career in law firms and at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority focusing on merger control. I then spent several years at the Financial Conduct Authority in London in its competition division. In these roles, I have gained in-depth experience in cartel investigations, abuse of dominance assessments, and competition law analyses of vertical and horizontal agreements. Most recently I have broadened my experience of regulated markets at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where I was responsible for legal matters related to export control of strategic goods. My LL.M. degree from the College of Europe has provided a strong EU law foundation for this work. I am excited to bring this expertise to Lieke’s competition law practice and to join the growing Lieke team.”
